Project Description: Raking loose rocks out of the trail. The work starts about a ½ mile up the trail and continues for ½-¾ mile. These rocks can be difficult for all trail users, rolling ankles and fitting between horseshoes, etc. We will meet at the Greenhorn trailhead, go over safety, get PPE, walk to the project and go over project specifics.
What to bring/wear: Closed toe/ankle supporting shoes and pants will be required. We recommend bringing your own eye protection/sunglasses, work gloves and sunscreen. A small pack is nice to have for water, layers and a snack. No dogs please.
What we will provide: Tools, required PPE available for use: hard hats, eye protection, gloves etc. Bike Helmets are not an appropriate substitute.
From Ketchum, head south on Highway 75, or the paved Wood River Trail, for 5.5 miles to the Greenhorn/East Fork Road at the stoplight. Head right/west for 3.7 miles to the end of the Greenhorn Road at the FS Greenhorn Trailhead.
From Hailey, head north on the highway or the path. Its 5.5 miles to the Greenhorn/East Fork Road at the stoplight. Head left/west for 3.7 miles to the end of the Greenhorn Road at the FS Greenhorn Trailhead.
