Closing Out the Season: A Huge Thank You to Our 2025 Hybrid Trail Crew

As the last tools are cleaned and stored, we’re officially saying goodbye to our 2025 Hybrid Trail Crew and to the 2025 season. And wow—what a season it was.

Like we’ve shared throughout the year, one of the biggest reasons 2025 was such a success is our partnership with the US Forest Service – Ketchum Ranger District. It was truly a team effort in every sense. We provided the crew; they provided the housing, trucks, tools, and day-to-day support. In a field season that threw plenty of curveballs, this partnership made it possible to keep a full trail crew on the ground. That’s not something we take for granted. It was a win-win for the valley, and the results speak for themselves.

So… what exactly did these trail fairies accomplish? Over the course of the season, the 2025 Hybrid Trail Crew:

  • Maintained more than 200 miles of trail, keeping the pathways we all love in tip top shape.

  • Cleared 500+ downed trees,

  • Completed major infrastructure projects—including the Baker Lake bridge, the Warfield bridge, and a reroute on Castle Trail that will benefit users for years to come.

  • Supported the SNRA visitor center, helping welcome folks, answer questions, and share local knowledge.

  • Cleaned restrooms and handled the unglamorous work that keeps our public lands inviting.

  • And in between all of that? They answered questions from hikers, riders, and dog-walkers they met out in the field—always with kindness, patience, and a willingness to help.

Trail work is tough. It’s physical, often dirty, occasionally frustrating, and always essential. And this crew showed up every day ready to give their best. They didn’t do it for recognition, but because they care about public lands, and the wonder they can provide.

To our 2025 Hybrid Trail Crew: thank you for your grit, your good humor, your skill, and the heart you poured into this work. We’re endlessly grateful, and are already looking forward to the next time we get to hit the trail together.

Here’s to a season well done.
