Thank You WR MTB Team!

As we have come to expect, the bike team really showed up for their last event of the year! We had a great showing from the High School and from Coaches on Thursday, September 3 and a solid mix of new and returning folks.

Once we finished our intro and safety talk, we handed out tools and they were "off to the races". Meaning they took off and we had to give them a shout to slow down so we could catch up and get that energy set in the right direction. With all the eager hands we got the inner loop tackled. All the loose rocks racked off, the turns and berms cleared up, brake bumps touched up. We hadn't anticipated how much vegetation growth had happened this year but we got that tackled as well.

The group had split with some folks headed up the drainage while others headed directly to the climbing turns but by the  quickly you could see little groups of while hard hats spread throughout the drainage, everyone working on their tasks and bumping along till we met at the saddle and headed back to the trailhead. Everyone was hoping for rain overnight so they could ride it the next day freshly raked and with a little moisture. The weather cooperated and they got their wish!
