7/8/2022 Trail Conditions Update

This week the Ketchum Ranger District (KRD) trail crew worked on Warfield-South Fork, Serpents, Norton-Miner and Castle Creek. Please say thank you if you see them out on the trails! 💪 We have an Alden Gulch volunteer work party ROUND 2 tomorrow, July 9th from 9:00 am - 12:00 pm with lunch from Hangar Bread to follow. Sign up in bio.

🚫 Starting July 11th Sun Valley Resort will recommence forest health and logging activities on Baldy. French Connection and Traverse Trail will be closed. Bald Mountain Trail will be open to hiking, closed to biking.

🦅 There have been reports of a bird of prey dive bombing people on Spring Creek Trail - be aware!

🌲 There may be some trees down on previously cut-out trails from high winds - check Summer Trailink for the most up to date info.

🐑 There are bands of sheep in the meadows above the Lake Creek Trailhead, near Harper's and Fox Creek trails, Lake Creek drainage, Deer Creek drainage, near Howard's Trail and moving towards North Fork Deer Creek, near Greenhorn Creek, Meadow Creek and heading for South Fork Warm Springs Creek, and near Silver Creek.
