WRTC FREE Orienteering Event

When: June 21st 

Time: 4:30 - 5:30 PM rolling start

Where: Greenhorn Trailhead 

Adult Course and Kids Treasure Hunt 

All Welcome: bike, walk, horse, run, moto, burro…etc.

Timing. You may arrive between 4:30 and 5:30 PM, we will have a rolling start. 
STOP at 7:00 PM and return to trailhead.

Adult: Open to 10 years and older. Time Limited. Compasses not needed. We want you to use navigation tools you would normally have out on the trail. If you would like to use your phone, please have your favorite mapping system pre-downloaded with the map area (Gaia, Caltopo...etc.) as there is no service out Greenhorn. If you would prefer to use a physical map, we will have the locations marked, but it will be readable without a map and compass.

Official Orienteering Control markers will  be placed out on/off Greenhorn trails for participants to find. Once a marker is found participants will punch their cards as “proof” - each marker has an original punch pattern.

Kids: Follow map to find trinkets. Treasures may include horseshoes, bike  bells, sweatbands, etc.

Prizes, pizza and beer will be provided!
