Fox Creek Bridge Flown Into Site

On Friday, July 17, the Fox Creek Bridge was flown out of the parking lot and onto the footings prepared by Titus Trails.

Our staff, and our partners at the Ketchum Ranger District all rallied super early to meet the Timberline Helicopter Crew at 6AM for the big flight.

Four laps of the helicopter, 24 minutes later, and the bridge was in place, the decking was at the site, and the next phase of the project would begin.

Because the bridge didn’t sit perfectly in alignment on the first drop, Titus Trails is doing the fine tune adjustments, before we can bolt the bridge into place, and have the USFS engineer give his final stamp of approval.

This project isn’t done yet, but this was a major milestone to have behind us!
