Higher Ground, Wood River Land Trust, and Wood River Trails Coalition Team Up on the Draper Preserve!

What a fantastic morning on the Draper Preserve! On September 12, we teamed up with the Wood River Land Trust and Higher Ground to work on the section of trail between the Bow Bridge and the Heart Tree.

With the ADA accessible portion of the Hike For Hope happening on September 13, our goal was to make this 0.25-mile stretch more accessible for everyone. The team got after itβ€”clearing vegetation, removing rocks that would block wheeled traffic, evening out off-camber sections, and widening the trail near the Heart Tree.

It was inspiring to see so many groups working side by side. Each organization brought its own knowledge and strengths, and together we were able to focus our energy where it mattered most. Thanks to this effort, this section of trail is now more open, welcoming, and ready for all users.

Big thanks to everyone who showed up and helped make this project a success!
