Volunteers Upgrade Bridge Approaches at Greenhorn
We know fall has arrived when the sun slips behind the hills before we even make it back to the truck after a volunteer event. But even with daylight fading, this crew didn’t slow down.
The task for the evening was straightforward but gritty: hauling and digging dirt. Our focus was the Imperial bridge on Greenhorn. Over time, the trail on either side of the bridge had sunk lower than the decking, making for a rough approach. This group put their heads down and got after it, moving enough dirt to bring both sides back up to level.
It’s always inspiring to see volunteers giving their time and energy to keep our trails safe and fun to ride. A huge thank you to everyone who came out and put in the work—especially on a cool September evening when it would’ve been easy to head home instead.
See you on the next one!
