St. Luke's Crushes it on Harpers Trail
A huge thank you goes out to the team from St. Luke’s for coming out and absolutely crushing it—literally! This hardworking crew spent the day tackling one of the more challenging sections of Harper’s Trail that had become deeply cupped from years of use and erosion.
Armed with rock, dirt, and plenty of grit, the volunteers filled in the rutted tread by first crushing and moving about 30 cubic feet of rock. They then packed another 30 cubic feet of dirt over the top, creating a stable, durable trail surface that will hold up to both foot and bike traffic.
Conditions weren’t easy—the work zone offered zero shade and the heat was relentless—but the energy never dipped. With plenty of teamwork, good humor, and determination, the group turned a rough, uneven section of trail into a smoother path for all to enjoy.
Projects like this are a reminder of the power of community partnerships. With St. Luke’s stepping in to lend their time and muscle, Harper’s Trail is more enjoyable for everyone.
Thank you, St. Luke’s, for showing up and getting it done!
