Windermere Works on Life Preserver!

This past week, we welcomed back a familiar and much-appreciated crew to the trails—our friends from Windermere Real Estate. As Logan pointed out that morning, Windermere holds the distinction of being our very first Bring Your Own Crew (BYOC) group, and we’ve been lucky to have them join us every year since. It’s partnerships like this that show how strong our community roots really are.

Though this year’s group was on the smaller side, they wasted no time getting to work. The crew tackled thick brush along a busy stretch of trail, improving visibility and making the route more enjoyable for everyone passing through. Meanwhile, Logan and Michael worked up a sweat digging into the backslope, helping to widen some of the narrowest sections—especially those with steep drop-offs toward the creek below.

Trail work like this isn’t always glamorous, but it’s absolutely vital. Brushing back overgrowth and shaping the trail helps preserve both the trail corridor and the experience for all users, whether they’re out for a walk, a ride, or a run. The Windermere team showed up with a can-do attitude and a willingness to dig in—literally—and that spirit makes all the difference.

We’re grateful to Windermere for their continued support, for bringing such great energy to the trails, and for helping us build a stronger, more connected community—one volunteer day at a time.
