Brushing Back Sage in Taylor Canyon
On Tuesday, we worked so hard brushing back sage out Taylor Canyon that Alison had to put her slippers on the moment we got back to the trailhead!
It was a fantastic evening all around — shady skies, great company, and plenty of trail laughs. We officially welcomed our newest Trail Boss, Audrey, Adam didn’t break a single tool (a rare feat!), and Helen Joyce and Kristen learned that, no, we don’t hand out 10 chainsaws at our volunteer nights.
In total, we cleared 0.34 miles of overgrown sage and wrapped up our early-season volunteer events. We'll be back with more evening and Saturday projects when the temps cool down in August.
If you’ve been thinking about joining a trail night but weren’t sure what to expect — know that our General Volunteer Events are designed to be approachable, fun, and low-pressure.
Until then, enjoy the trails — and let us know what you’re seeing out there this summer!
